Anita B Lewis Helping Hands Ministries is on the front lines of helping individuals in need by offering food, hot showers, safe lodging, and other life-sustaining services to assist in the transformation of a life. We use an evidence-based method that promptly connects homeless individuals and families to permanent homes without imposing preconditions or hurdles to entry, such as sobriety, treatment, or service involvement. We trust that the love of Christ will bring healing to their bodies and souls.
Neighbors Serving Neighbors
Emergency Services
We partner with local homeless shelters to provide meals, overnight lodging, clean clothing, showers, and temporary baggage storage.
Clothes Closet
We seek to help individuals with their physical needs while addressing their spiritual needs by providing free/low cost clothing.
Food Baskets
Through a weekly Food Box program, we assist low-income individuals and families in need of perishable food and necessities.
Bible Studies
For chronically homeless job seekers, barriers to employment can seem insurmountable. We help you connect with employment opportunities.
Our Vision for Pembroke Pines
We regard each person as a spiritual being deserving of respect and aid on their path. Our mission is to see people and families set free from addictions and homelessness, transformed by God to become physically and spiritually fit, educated to participate in society and maintain housing, and encouraged to build loving and service-oriented relationships. We aim to assist those who have been abused or neglected in their search for a better life. We want to assist persons in understanding their addictions, anticipating bodily restoration, and living in healthy ways.

We believe in the power of the gospel to change lives. We would love to provide you with a Bible and answer any questions you have concerning Jesus. We believe the gospel has the power to transform our set you free.
MUTUAL CARE
As we grow closer at ABL Helping Hands Ministries, we seek to care for each other in both spiritual and practical ways. We believe in both physical and spiritual healing are possible in the church. We lift each other up and carry each other's burdens.
EVANGELISM IN COMMUNITY
As we are fed by Bible study and community, we seek to extend care to the community around us. We want to reach those experiencing homelessness particularly, with the love of Christ and the care of the Christian community.

We gather weekly to pray for the needs of our community. We know that the power to change lives rests in Jesus Christ our Lord. We eagerly call on Him to impact our community.

A shower and clean clothing
For unhoused people, often a shower and clean clothes is the first step in regaining their dignity. Your donation helps to provide this.
Safe shelter and a place to sleep
Sleeping in an unsheltered environment can be particularly traumatic for families with children. We help place these people as quickly as possible.
A hot, nutritious meal
A hot meal can help people experiencing homelessness feel more energized and better able to process their trauma.
Christian counseling and support
After critical physical needs are met, we offer support and compassion. We seek to help individuals find healing and peace in Christ.
